Speaker Abstracts
This international workshop is traditionally entitled, “Nucleation and Growth Mechanisms of Single-Walled Carbon Nanotubes” and is sponsored by the Air Force Research Laboratory, Honda, Rice University, and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. This year represents an important milestone as the TENTH (i.e., X) edition, and it will be held at the Flying L Ranch Resort located in the beautiful Texas Hill Country on May 13-17, 2022, kicking off with keynote speaker Prof. Mark Hersam and a strong program of speakers to follow.
The Guadalupe workshop has a long history of bringing together the most accomplished researchers to exchange ideas about synthesis of single-walled carbon nanotubes in a “Gordon-style” format and environment. In recent iterations, the workshop’s scope has broadened to merge its original theme with challenges in synthesizing other emergent low-dimensional materials, including boron-nitride nanotubes and 2D materials. Our aim is to continue to establish this workshop as the global hub for sharing new results and innovative ideas in the synthesis science of this special class of materials toward realizing their positive impact on society.
